Remember the Titans? They finally got a Friday night home game - Prep Rally - High School* - Yahoo! Sports

Quote:
T.C. Williams (Va.) High is one of the nation's most well-known football programs, thanks in large part to the cinematic success of Disney's "Remember the Titans." Still, with all that tradition built up, the school was missing out on the tradition most often connected with high school football: playing home games on Friday nights.
I regret not being in Alexandria to witness this occasion as a T.C. Williams grad. To the residents of the neighborhood who have a problem with the lights. GET OVER YOURSELVES!! T.C. Williams probably preceded your arrival in the Seminary Hill neighborhood. Just because you don't want to deal with lights for a couple of hours 5 times a year is no reason to rob T.C. Williams families of a HS tradition. Half of ya'll trash T.C. to death anyway, let these kids have some happiness.

Totally agree, Alanboy. Sorry you had to miss it. Wonder if Ireton will be next? They've been in the same situation.
