While the adults are busy slip-sliding away on the roads, the kids got a 2-hour school delay this morning--so they're now out slip sliding on the slopes!

This photo is from last year, but it looks about the same this morning.

The kids have it easy...My kids Pre-K was cancelled yesterday and it left me scrambling to find things to entertain my kids with...We built blocks, played dress-up, read countless books/stories, watched a movie, played with the aquadoodle, played witht he doll house, played witht he castle, made homemade pizza (which was terrible and we ended up eating cereal!)...I AM EXHAUSTED and have another day entertaining them, lol! Just put in another movie and am about to take a nap while they watch!
Along with those young kids sledding is a mom who wishes she could sleep in and have a snow day

Fortunately my twins had their weekly Kinderdance class yesterday morning before the snow started. Today, cabin fever is kicking in a little bit. God bless Disney/Pixar. Usually we try to get out every morning (Sterling Community Center, Wal-Mart, Wegmans) but today I'm not running the risk of slick roads and bad drivers. My husband's out of town all week and there's no way I'm taking these monkeys out in the snow by myself (they are almost 2.5, and they are RUNNERS).

We live identical lives, lol! My husband was out of town as well...thankfully he comes back today! We moved to Richmond and I couldn't believe they cancelled all of the schools yesterday...there was less than 1/2 inch on the roads. They 2 hour delayed today and when I woke up there was NOTHING on the road. Seriously silly.
My kids are 4...we too try and get out each day but yesterday and today we are in. (Although I am taking them to McDonalds here in a few minutes as they are just on my nerves too bad and MCD's is just down the road!)
May the force be with you, lol!

My neighbor was thrilled to finally get a chance to use his snow blower today. He said he felt like a kid playing with his new toy this morning.

Yes! We went sledding this morning and decided to skip school and spend some quality time together. Now I'm exhausted from a freshly vaccinated baby so Pixar gets to entertain the older one until dinner time. It's been a fun day though.

Can you believe all the snow has melted away already? Even that little dusting we got this morning has melted off. What a change from last year!

The snow we got this morning was more of a sprinkling than a dusting which is fine by me. In fact, I'm o.k. if we don't get any more snow this winter - I'm ready for the spring. Bring on the cherry blossoms!

But I don't think the snow is over just yet.
