The Washington Post submits a sketchy report:
Arlington principal resigns, blaming superintendent for 'hostile work environment'
Abuse of power (especially within schools) is not acceptable. Unfortunately, the school system makes it very difficult to speak out when it happens. How does one get the superintendent fired if he abuses his position? Principals rarely get fired, it seems. They just get moved to a different school.
The many ineffective school administrators make the work of the great ones that much harder. School systems--especially in this area--need fewer central office administrators.

I read through all the posts. Evidently the principal wanted to get rid of a staffer she thought was disruptive. No idea what the details are there, but the principal's statement that the superintendent retaliated against her by giving her an "unsatisfactory" rating is worrisome. That's a major abuse of power.
