Even if it stays cold they will flower? I have no clue what these are I can just see lots of little green sticking out of the ground where we have only dirt.

Oh yes, they love the cold. In fact last year after Snowmageddon we dug out our mailbox and found the snowdrops in bloom even thought they were under several feet of snow. In fact, I think we took a photo of it. Let me see if I can fid it.

Found the photo of the flowers that bloomed under the snow. Check out this thread from last winter.

thanks for posting this, mine are only shoots right now just barely peeping out, it will be interesting to watch them pop up and start to bloom. I am excited to get some flowers for my front porch and our deck. Then in late April or May get our garden in.

The snow has now completely melted from our back yard, and is almost gone in the front. When I get home from work I shall celebrate with a summery drink and maybe even an umbrella in my glass!

Ours is the opposite, the snow is all gone in the front yard except for one little spot but my backyard still has snow. I am not quite ready for the summer drink yet. I am reeling in shock, the town we moved from this last summer has experienced -13 degree temps this week with rolling electric and gas outages, they haven't seen temps like this in over 30 years. Our low 40's seem balmy compared to their temps. Have a summery drink for me this evening, I am still in the hot cup of coffee mode.

Went to Wal Mart last night and one of the sure signs that warm weather is just around the corner is if they start selling board shorts! Let's go springtime!
