How often do these shuttle buses operate? What are their hours of operation?

What about on weekends and non-rush hours? How does one living at Riverside Apartments get to the Huntington Station?

Dunno ..sorry Best place to ask is at the Apartment concierge desk.

What I always want to know is how do you get back home using those shuttles.Do they run on a set schedule during all the hours the metro runs. Seems pretty inefficient. but so is a call service.

Most apartments do a set schedule just like any bus.

When I lived at Riverside a year ago this May, the shuttle operated just during weekday rush hours: it would stop every twenty minutes at each place (first Riverside, then the Metro 20 minutes later, then back to Riverside 20 minutes later.. you get the picture). I don't remember the specific hours within the morning and afternoon/evening rush hours it did operate, though - sorry (and I threw away my little flyer on it when I moved). During off-peak hours you had to take a Fairfax Connector bus (or walk or bike) to the Huntington Metro station.

Worst case scenario, it's a 10-15 minute walk from the front gate of Riverside to the Huntington Metro. So as long as weather is cooperating, it's not too bad.

pcity's link will tell you which buses you can catch. (I believe it's either of the 161/162...or was it the 151/152?) In either case, it's a five-minute ride (or less) from Riverside. However, not only may you be standing on a crowded bus headed towards the Metro, but it will likely arrive late due to the traffic crawling up Route 1. You're better off catching the Riverside shuttle or walking, depending on how agreeable the weather is.
