Ok - so, they are working on 66 and expect the road to be repaved by November 2012 (that's going to be a long time). Most every morning I drive through a dusty haze and a lot of stuff gets kicked up underneath my car. After a few weeks the undercarriage is completely white, and the bottom half of my car including tires and wheels is completely white. I went to hose it off....it doesn't hose off. It literally needs to be scrubbed hard to get it off. So, I did this about two weeks ago and now my car is again half white (the other half is blue). Anybody know what this stuff is that is caking up my car?

Does it do any damage or anything? I have already replaced my cabin filter once, looks like I'll probably have to replace it again here soon. It gets in it so much that it affects the idle on my car which is wierd. I drive in it at about 4am every day when they are just picking up....wow, what a haze.
