Spotted this morning on Hunter Mill Road near Lawyers Road in Vienna, where someone hacked into VDOT's electronic warning signs about the nearby bridge reconstruction project. Klaatu, call home!

I prefer when they read "Beware of Zombies".

Too funny. For the record, last week they said something like "Bridge Work 8/2-8/5. Please use alt route." I had interpreted the sign (which had been posted the prior week as a warning) to mean that it would be closed to thru traffic for the whole week and had been taking an alternate route as advised. I was a little annoyed to find out half way through the week that there wasn't any reason to use an alternate route during normal rush hour...they were only taking it down to one lane during non-rush hour. At my normal commute time, traffic was flowing as normal.

I missed those new warnings this week

Speaking of funny signs, I saw one on a church marquee - I can't remember if the church was on Braddock or on 28, but the sign read, "God's work is never done. Apparently, neither is VDOT's."
It made me chuckle.
