I planned to go to Ocean City this coming Monday, should I cancel my reservation and postpone the trip to next week because of Irene?

Watching the news tonight it looked and sounded to me that we "might" get some rain on Saturday and by Sunday night it will be up in New England somewhere. If you aren't even going until Monday, why would you cancel?

I'd keep an eye on it but I wouldn't cancel just yet. At any rate - usually what comes behind a storm like this is a lot of high pressure which means you might encounter glorious weather after it rolls out!

It could also affect the undertow and make the ocean rougher than usual, if you were planning on swimming in it.
