That's a slight upgrade. I don't think the employees will mind, nobody likes wearing body armor to work.

At least they have better food options now.

Putting on my "how will this affect me" hat for a second, I sure hope this means traffic in Seven Corners will ease up a little. Oh OK I guess I feel sorry for anyone who just bought a place in Seven Corners so they could walk to work-- but OTOH Annandale is fairly close so it's not like they'll have a bad drive. Who knows, maybe some of the employees will score a shorter drive out of this.

"The county is choosing to relocate because of the initial failure to reach agreement with the current landlord regarding the terms of the lease,” says Amy Carlini, director of communications for the Fairfax County Department of Family Services."

that suggests to me the Seven Corners landlord believes they can find another tenant. So it may not be as big a net loss for Seven Corners as the headline appears, but more a sign of tightening in the secondary Fairfax office markets.

One of these office buildings seems about as nice as to the other.

Guess it's good news for Shilla's Bakery!

Interesting. This is just a few blocks off the Beltway and across the street from where the day laborers gather up at the 7-11. To have that many County employees going by there daily may create a lot more complaints/reporting about the men gathering there.
