Any ideas on a unique & affortable wedding venue for approx. 100 guests? I am looking for possibly a resturant location that can provide catering/food. Trying to stay away from hotels. Any advice, help would be much appreciated. Wedding (as of right now) is scheduled for the weekend of Aug 11th or 12th.

Thank you!!

What do you mean by "affordable"?

Is this for the reception only, or will you be having the ceremony there as well?

What is your budget range? My friend got married at the Glen Echo park (bumper car pavillion) and the other one at the Woodlawn Manor in MD. Both are relatively inexpensive and quite a unique venue.

in the summer we go to Belle Haven park nearby Alexandria on the water. You should be able to rent a pavillion and have a nice family gathering with catering.

My wife shot a wedding this summer at great falls national park. They had the reception in a pavilion.

Another small one was at Sanoma on capital hill. I think it was a wine bar, and they catered.

The words "affordable" and "wedding" might not belong in the same sentence, but both the Northern Virginia Regional and Fairfax County Park Authorities do have multiple sites that can be reserved for ceremonies and/or receptions at something like reasonable prices.

A better plan of course would be to find a really rich friend who would let you use the elegant grounds of his country estate for the occasion. Plenty of time to work on that...

Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast. We got married there. Though I don't know what "affordable" might mean to you. Too lose of a term.

I recently attended a wedding at Bluemont Vineyard. It was a beautiful (both the venue and the reception).
