This past weekend was great. I went out hiking and had to take a layer off 'cause I started to get too hot.

I like my seasons. I like warm springs, hot summers, cool autumns, and cold winters. And I like snow. I still like sledding and getting a "free day off" work when everything shuts down. I think of shoveling snow as good exercise.

But to each his own--there is the problem with insects and animals that the other poster brought up (insects might still die when it gets cold--but animals coming out of hibernation are in for a rough time).

I seriously doubt we'll get more than a dusting of snow this year. It is now mid-February and we haven't gotten anything more than that. Extended forecast shows day-time temps in the upper 40's, 50's, and 60's. I hope this means we're in for a nice, warm, early spring.

My poor mother is still holding onto hope for more than inch of now. Lol.

Figures. I buy a shiny new Jeep with their latest and greatest AWD system and we don't get a stitch of snow worth talking about....

Well, I wouldn't relax just yet, remember the great "Blizzard of '93" happened in the middle of March
