Pedestrian bridges are intended at all 5 new stations including the 4 in tysons crossing to the center stations and across the adjacent roads to both sides.

Thanks for posting this. It's interesting now, and will be even more so years down the line after the project is finished.

I like the old timey marching band music, I didn't realize the 1914 worlds fair was intended to also go in this location :P

What I am really interested in is when will Reston Station (the housing/mixed use) project get under way? Word on the street is VDOT has been holding up all of these projects by requiring massive traffic studies that are being performed by VDOT (interesting how that conflict of interested worked out) as a private contractor to the developer. The traffic studies for Reston and Tysons assume that after all these condos, residence, and the metro of course are built that nothing will change in the dynamics of the areas except for an increase of 30% population use.

Pretty interesting that these areas will see a 30% population increase theoretically due to a metro and high rise living coming in but VDOT assumes that these same people who are making this lifestyle choice will continue to hold the almighty Car as king. At Reston I could see some increased traffic because for 4 years it will be a terminal station like Vienna, but to imply this as the case in Tysons, I think is absolutely ridiculous.

Sorry random tirade (once I started I couldnt stop)

Thanks! Very fun video (great music) of the future landing site on the southern side of the toll road. The touchdown for the walkway on the northern side is at the Reston Station Plaza, on top of the Metro parking garage.

When Metro opens in 2013 the Plaza will host some retail and entertainment, and the first building will be underway. All of the transportation studies for this project are complete and it is zoned. The first building will be a luxury residential high rise located on the northwest section of the parcel. Some info can be found at comstockpartnerslc.com.
