Anyone went to the Pet Expo this weekend? Was it really crowded? Today is the last day of the event. I don't own dogs but have a three year old that loves dogs. Not sure whether it is a good idea to take him to he expo to look at the dogs.

I went on Saturday!! Cali, I did not see you

newsnewsmama, it actually wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be - for some reason I thought it was going to be crowded like the gun show was, where you barely have enough room to walk around.

All the dogs were pretty well behaved (from what I saw). I love Great Danes and there were a ton there. I might bring my dog next year Cool place.

Adopting is the only way to go, IMHO (not to encourage puppy mills, etc.), but it sounds liek there are adoption groups at this event. There are many other, albeit smaller, adoption events in the area throughout the year. When I lived in the area I was a volunteer for the Washington Humane Society. There are also many other groups, such as Cats are Tops, in Alexnadria.

There were many adoption groups there. The place is big so while there are a lot of people and dogs there, it is not as crowded as you might think it would be. Also, parking seemed easier this year since there is only one event going on instead of two - since the other hall has been turned into a Walmart! You do come away with lots of free samples as someone else noted.
