Where in DC are you going to? Is it near a Metro stop? What are your work hours?

Work hours I am not sure yet but I am thinking
In the 8-5 range

Going to the federal triangle metro stop
On wmata it looks like 30 minutes from
Springfield and 20 minutes from huntington
But my issue is I don't know how long
It would take to drive down rt 1 in the morning
To get to huntington

Or is it better to drive to Springfield

I was even told it may be better to drive
On mt Vernon parkway into the city

Help

I would count on about 20-25 minutes to the Springfield metro station at that time in the morning.

Where on Ft Belvoir are you living? North Post? South Post? It can take you awhile to either leave south post and drive around to Springfield, or to drive through and head out the Beulah gate, you might be tempted to head to Huntington. BUT if you take yellow line you have to transfer for Federal Triangle back to blue line..if memory serves me. Zero time savings there. If you live on North post - no brainer there, springfield metro.

Do you get parking? And what cost? If you get transit assistance then the option to drive is gone.

You are in luck. You can take the 11Y bus from right by Belvoir near the Grist Mill all the way to Federal Triangle - well, within a block.

Looks like just under an hour:

One advantage is you won't need to pay to park as you would at a Metro station.

How long does the bus take? I am thinking
as much as the route requires:
More than 2 ride a train
but less than 2
train a dog.
U dig?
