Good evening, I just moved to the DC Area. I live in Falls Church near Tyson's. Can you all recommend a highly recommended dermatologist in the area? Thanks again.

Derm, shmerm. I will continue to use our dog's topical steroid ointment on my mild rosacea.

Dr. Appiah has more online comments and reviews than any other doctor I've ever seen. People either really like or really dislike her. It's fairly easy to get in to see her because she is smart, efficient, and rushes through appointments without much explanation or discussion, so she can see a lot of patients in a day. If your case is fairly simple, you'll be fine and might even appreciate her approach. However if you need someone who will be friendly, reassuring, listen well, and take time to explain a more complex condition, you're probably better off somewhere else.

Dr. Joseph Kaufman and Dr. Kelly Wolfe on Duke Street in Alexandria (near Landmark) are superb, but it can take a few months to get an appointment because they are so much in demand.

If Dr. Kazakis is still there, she is great! I was sad to have to change doctors when they changed the insurance at work.
