Here's the scoop:
- South of Braddock on both sides of Gum Spring Road it's Chantilly. (at least for right now because developers are trying to get some of the areas west of Gum Spring into the Aldie hood.
- North of Braddock and east of Gum Spring Road is considered South Riding, which used to all be part of Chantilly before Toll Brother's began developing the community.
- North of Braddock and west of Gum Spring Road is considered Stone Ridge, which is in Aldie.

Hope this helps. Check out my Website for more information for residents in the communities around Gum Spring Road at gumspringroad.com
haha I know where that stretch of GS Road is. There's a ton of traffic on that road, today you'd probably not dare to sit out there. Nice pictures and website.

Thanks VRE332. Remember when the road was closed for several days while they laid a huge pipe underneath? That's when we had the road to ourselves! We had a blast on our ATV, and on our patio furniture!

I live south of Braddock and west of Gum Spring Road, and my address is Aldie.

Alrighty then. You live in Aldie despite the fact that Aldie is west of Route 15. I can't argue with the developers that are desperate to avoid having a "Chantilly" address, because that's a Fairfax County address but Aldie makes little sense either. I say we call the area Gum Spring like they're calling the new library for the area.

trust me, it is annoying when i tell people my address, and they are like "wow thats pretty far out there" and I have to explain to them that it's just past South Riding. But I also think people are confused by how large Chantilly is as well.

But there is already a Gum Spring, VA, the post office would surely not be able to get my mail correct then.

Love the pics! There is a home that is being gutted right now...hoping it isn't yours because it's a lovely home from the outside.

I'm one of the many commuters riding this road....my sincerest apology. With the new developments coming up, it's sure to blow up your entire (what was once a lovely country area) into another suburbia.
