I just bought a new home and need to buy LOTS of furniture. Do any of you know of furniture stores that are closing down/going into liquidation? I was hoping to get some good deals!

Thanks a bunch.

Craigslist should have tons of listings. many furniture stores say they are goingout of business every week but they are just gimmicks.

Wow....that's an old Kmart....almost a shame to see it go. But, it's like the Kmart in Manassas....terribly kept.

The whole "going out of business" liquidation sale is a scam. There are stores that have been advertising that they are going out of business for years. And if the store really is having a liquidation sale the items are often listed at prices higher than the regular price to trick people who just assume everything is 50 percent off. And in many other cases the items for sale aren't even their real inventory. The companies that run the liquidation sales bring in flea market quality junk to sell.
