Thank you.

Cynthia is a quiet area with some decent size homes. Many people do not like Manassas Park but that's based primarily on its reputation from back in the 70's and 80's, Things have improved dramatically since then. This is on the East side of Rt 28 which is the newer and much improved side of M. Park. Close to schools and VRE.

Wellington, for the most part, is a good neighborhood. I'm very close to this one and have family there. Same with Signal Hill. Once you have a street name send it to me and I can advise better.

Keep in mind though that I could recommend a street as a safe area but it can always turn out to be the neighborhood from hell based on one or two bad neighbors. I would always go there on a weekend and try to talk to a few neighbors yo get a feel for the area.

Smile Mayfield Subdivision

We are looking at a house in the Mayfield Subdivision in Manassas. Does anyone have any information about this area? Or the elementary?
Thanks!

I assume you are talking about Mayfield Trace? It's a nice quiet area and the calls for service for the PD will definitely be on the low end for this neighborhood. Not sure on the schools but I would think Bennett Elem which is a good school and maybe Osbourn Park for the HS which has been a good school. Could be Stonewall Jackson but I'm not sure.

Here's an update to this post. We did buy a house in Mayfield, which is adjacent to Wellington. It is near 234/Dumfries and Hastings . The elementary is Bennett, which seems nice. Our kids are going to All Saints Catholic School, which is about an 8-10 min drive. As for the commute into 495/50, it does take an hour at times. There are many different routes to try thoug th. Overall, we love Manassas and so far the commute is worth it.

You must leave awfully early to do it in an hour.

Smile commute

My husband usually leaves here in Manassas between 6:30-7:00 and the commute takes him 45 min, sometimes an hour. He leaves work about 5:00 and it takes about the same, although it has taken up to 1 hour 15 min. He usually does not take 66, like I said earlier there are many different routes to take. Hope this helps!

An hour is not that unusual to 495/50 from Manassas unless something happens on the road. I do 30 minutes to Gallows and Cedar from the Hastings Dr area but of course I leave by 0420.
