I will be moving into the area - seems very safe within three condos but once you get out...not so much.

I lived up the street on Stevenson from 2005-2010. The area is a mixture of working class blacks and immigrants and family, some younger professionals who don't have the money to live along Arlington's orange line, and older professionals who want to save a little money. It is an okay area. The biggest threat here will be car break-ins but pretty preventable if you know not to leave crap inside your car. If I was working in Alexandria instead of Arlington I may have returned to the area.
