I'm looking for a 3"-4" thick & 10-12" round tree slab/ tree slice for a craft project for my son's school. Saw some online but don't want to spend $30-$40 on having it shipped to me.

I read some online blogs where they got it locally free of charge. Any suggestions on where to get it free? Thnx!

So I'm not sure if this is even possible - but VDOT is cutting down down trees in Great Falls (because of that awful accident) maybe you can ask them to cut a piece off for you? Just explain it is for a school project...

Contact a tree cutting service and ask for a small piece. You may be lucky and encounter some guys and ask on the spot (although tree-cutting occurs in the Spring and Fall). Good luck!

Unfortunately, we have loads of those. PM me, he can have whatever he needs, free. We had to have three trees cut down and have loads of slices, limbs, etc. all piled neatly!

Hello, I saw your above message and thought I would try reaching out.

I am an event planner that is looking for what are apparently called, "tree cookies", or slices of tree to use under plates on a table at a wedding in September. I need about 200 total that are around 10-12 inches in diameter and around 1/2inch-1in thick. Is this something I can get through you?
