Fall is a great time for town fairs, arts and crafts fairs, festivals...etc. So, to that end I thought a useful thread to post here would be a fair for those fairs, and for other fun fall activities, such as pumpkin farms, corn mazes, hay rides, etc.

So, if you know of some good local fairs in your area of NoVa or even the whole of the D.C. Area, post them here so others who may be interested might come check them out.

This weekend 9/15-16 is the Bluemont Fair, in Bluemont, VA. Bluemont Fair | September 15th & 16th | 43rd Annual 1970-2012

Also fun in Bluemont, and great for kids is Great Country Farms. For the adults, there is Bluemont Vineyard just up on top of the mountain.

Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts festival is 9/28-30 near Charles Town WV. Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Festival near Harper's Ferry West Virginia I know its not VA, but its close enough that many in NoVA might care to check it out

October 5,6 & 7th is the Waterford Fair. The Waterford Foundation - Waterford Homes Tour & Crafts Exhibit Arts and crafts, great local food, and historic home tours. One of my very good friends homes is on this tour and is just absolutely stunning!

Waterford Fair is going on this weekend. If you have not had a chance to check it out today is the final day. Lots of great stuff there. Had a great time there yesterday then stayed for dinner at our friends historic house on 2nd street and got to watch the civil war people marching up and down the streets playing fife and drums. Nice day!
