Hi can anyone tell me about the area/safety in Alexandria 22304? I drive through on my way to Kingstowne, Walmart and Kohls. I've seen people with large dogs walking around in the Edsall/Van Dorn section. I like that the area is conveniently near 495 and 395. Is there a way to check for crime statistics by zip code instead of street name?
Thanks!

Here is the crime rate index, which compares the zip code to the national average:

So are the 1%er white collar criminals the cause for the high larceny rates in the wealthier zip codes? 22308 along the GW Parkway is 147% above the national average.

Am I the only one who doesn't know areas by zip codes? (I know mine of course - I know the streets, etc. - not the zip codes of surrounding areas.
