Twinbrooke is where I used to go(a decade ago). Used and New instruments, also have teachers etc there near guinea road
I also went to one on Commerce drive a couple times more recently for guitar supplies.
If you happen to be looking for a Trumpet I have a used one I am trying to get rid of. Good condition stradivarius (new would be over $1800) looking to sell for 900 OBO

Music Arts in Springfield Plaza - seems to cater to the school stuff, but who knows, depends why your looking. There is a guiter place in Kingstowne, name escapes me, but it is in the Ross parking lot.
