I am seeing some construction activity near exit 7 on the Dulles greenway, looks like an overpass. Does anybody know what it is?

The owners of the Greenway are building a bridge to connect future developments on both sides of the Greenway.

Thanks for your response. Is that going to help folks in Brambleton in their commute in any way?

Hmm...I don't know. The road is supposed to connect Barrister/State St. (behind the apartments across LCP from the Exxon) to whatever's being developed on the other side (I don't know what). Unfortunately even if that does end up being something big, it would still probably only connect up with Shellhorn to the north or the streets behind AOL to the east, leaving us with the same old Waxpool/28 chokepoints.

I suspect it probably has something to do with the metro station being built in the middle of the road, like a pedestrian bridge from a parking lot to the station (otherwise, we might have a real live game of f.r.o.g.g.e.r going on in a couple of years!) I don't know why they would build a second bridge for vehicles when you've got LCP overpass already in place? If it's for private use, then that's got to be one heck of an expensive (foolishly so) private development!

By the way, why does "f.r.o.g.g.e.r" turn out like this when spelled correctly -- *******?

The metro station is going to be north of Loudoun County Parkway. And yes, it will have its own pedestrian overpasses to the parking lots on both sides of the Greenway.

One of the things going in off Barrister Street is the Inova Ashburn Healthplex. Not sure about the other side. The Greenway is building the overpass now because it will be more expensive once the sitework starts for the Metro construction.

Would it be Greenway's responsibility to build the overpass? I thought the county or state are building it. I was hoping a road would come up and connect us to the lockridge road and provide us with another way to access 28. The length of the road cannot be more than 1 mile.
