Does anyone know of a place in NoVA or DC where one can purchase hand-blown glass?

blown glass pipes.........same at that smoke shop on M St. in GT. They used to do an exhibition at Jamestown, and I've seen them feature glass blowers at Art Shows recently in another area.

and you might even check through the Smithsonian(s) for exhibits and/or displays. It is very much a part of History.

On King Street in Alexandria, between Henry and Fayette, you will find Arts Afire Gallery. Arts Afire

Though more of a generalist artisan crafted store, I would also check Appalachian Spring as they would likely have some glass pieces. Unique gift ideas, Handmade American Crafts: Appalachian Spring

Blenko Glass is in Milton, WV. They've been doing hand-blown glass in traditional motifs since the 1890's. You can get a broader range of cut and blown glass at some of the major craft festivals, particularly the outdoor ones in Gaithersburg or Timonium. Those will start again in April. There is an indoor show at the Dulles Expo Center at the end of January. Check with Sugarloaf Craft Festivals for more.
