I believe that I have been paying extra at the pump in Spotsylvania to subsidize VRE for like 3 years now and VRE cannot definitively identify a station location. They give likely scenarios but never definitive ones. I think that is crap. I understand that some Spotsylvania commuters use the Fredericksburg lot, that is understood but give me a break already. I think that we should at least be entitled to know the station location or are they afraid that people will get up and move if it is not going to help the majority of the county lol?

Thoughts?

Lightbulb station location

This article states that it will be in the Crossroads Industrial Park off of the U.S. 17 bypass.

Spotsylvania joined VRE in February 2010, and part of the agreement included a new station, which will be built in the Crossroads Industrial Park off of the U.S. 17 bypass.

Another article this month:
Fredericksburg.com - VRE says Brooke still has parking for riders

Finally, on page 6, they show a map with an arrow directly where the station will be built.

Isn't that huge development in Caroline going to have a VRE stop too?

Thanks for the info...just awfully slow and no one seems to care. I think that Caroline may get one too at Bowling Green some year.

That development was approved, but isn't even close to being started. They mentioned a train station, but I haven't seen any promise of VRE specifically.
