We are yet to decide and have to take a decision by today/tomorrow whether we need to admit our toddler son in Winwood Reston or RobertESimon's Center, Reston or Boyd in Herndon. We have liked all three. Please share your experiences and help us decide. This is the first time we are trying a day care and he has always been with me or nanny.

I have friends who sent their children to Winwood Reston and Boyd Herndon. They both have good things to say about these two places. Winwood is play-based. Children in the same class are usually around the same age. Boyd is a Montessori school. Children in the same classroom are mixed-aged, assuming you are enrolling your child in their primary class that serves ages 3 to 5. So it depends on your preference of the teaching method (Montessori versus play based).

If your child is under age 2, I don't think the difference is that much.

We go to Simon Center and love it. I looked at Winwood and liked it okay, but I was blown away by Simon Center. Winwood is for-profit, thus "prettier". Simon Center is non-profit and NAEYC-certified and the teachers are extremely well-trained. It feels like a little school -- everyone is so friendly and supportive. Can't say enough good things about Simon Center.
Don't know anything about Boyd.
