It's exit 160 Lake Ridge/Occoquan.

Will give it a try soon. I guess that I can get off the HOV earlier and try it. Thanks

The times I have been on Minnieville during rush hour is terrible -- bumper to bumper all the way until you pass Spriggs. I prefer to take Hoadly to 234 and it is much quicker.

You can take this exit directly from the HOV lanes.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Hoadly looks to be a bit clearer but might add a bit to the commute from what I can see. Minnieville does look backed up already. I remember when I was a kid my grandfather had a device with a wheel that you could skate across the roads of a map to see how far the distance actually was. I used it so much I broke the wheel off. I guess that was an omen that I was going to move to NOVA one day.

That functionality seems to be partial in google maps. You can do it to a degree, but then it starts dragging you to another route that you did not intend to use.

Looking at the Southbound exists below, is that the "123" exit? I used to be so familiar with these exits when I lived in Woodbridge now they are pretty much forgotten.

Thanks

Yes, it is the Rt. 123 exit. As soon as you dump of the exit, you are on Rt. 123. For that short stretch of road there, it is called Gordon Blvd. As you progress towards Fairfax County, it becomes Ox Road. You'd be making a left onto Old Bridge Rd, though, so you will only be on it for a short time.

Thanks again. I might try this all today. I can see "red" marks starting to populate around Dumfries.

I think that there might be one little mistake in the route that I was given by Oneasterisk though.....around Aden Road. I am going to repost where I think the mistake might be. With this many turns in the process, I want to try to get it right and report back!

Ok, does 234 Connect directly To Aden Road. Oneasterisk's post seems to mention that it does but it looks like I need to take Bristow Road for about 1000 feet before it does. Any ideas?

Thanks!
