Looking for a family friendly neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Leesburg. My husband and I are looking to buy a townhouse with at least 2000 sqft with a budget of 400K. We are also looking to meet other young couples/families in the area, so a neighborhood with younger people would be a plus.

After driving through the area, I was intrigued by the Carriage Way townhouse development in historic Leesburg. Anyone have any feedback on this neighborhood?

Catoctin Chase (my old neighborhood) Fox Ridge, & Ashton Downs are all about a mile to downtown and are probably around the 400k mark

I live in Foxridge and we have 16 kids just on my street alone. We are about a mile walking distance to King street which is about a 20 minute walk on the W&OD trail. The neighborhood is single family homes though, not townhomes. Our house is $350K and 1600 sqft. There are larger models for about $400K for sale right now though.

Thanks! We drove through Foxridge today and loved it! Looks like a very cozy family friendly neighborhood, and close to downtown. Thanks for the suggestion- it is definitely at the top of our list!

You can get some areas closer to downtown -- I see two townhouses in the Town Branch area for under $400k and the SFH area between that and Catoctin ES/Loudoun County HS there are some older SFH's for under $400k as well.

Occasionally you'll see something in NW/NE Leesburg that close in but I'm not sure you can get under $400k so much anymore.
