Just checked the Dominion Virginia power outage map. So far we have really lucked out -- only
five customers without power in the entire NoVa service area. I assume that's because the snow seems to have been of the drier, more powdery kind that is not weighing down tree branches and overhead lines. Of course we're not out of the woods yet, with freezing rain and windy conditions expected later today, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
