Culpeper here. Got 11 inches. I don't know who's having more fun, the dogs or the cats. One cat jumped right in and disappeared for a second. My little roly-poly beagle mix has a path cleared for me so I don't have to shovel.

19" so far over here in Winchester.

And we live in the historic downtown. It's probably more in the rural areas outside the city.

Just checked the Dominion Virginia power outage map. So far we have really lucked out -- only five customers without power in the entire NoVa service area. I assume that's because the snow seems to have been of the drier, more powdery kind that is not weighing down tree branches and overhead lines. Of course we're not out of the woods yet, with freezing rain and windy conditions expected later today, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

Anyone who is not familiar with this good interactive map Dominion provides of power outages should check it out:

Your welcome Maybe I will buy a pack every time we might get a storm and then that will keep the power on lol!

I don't know how much snow I have here in Leesburg (near old town), but it's a lot. Very happy I don't have to go to work today. It all worked out because I have an awful cold right now. I could use some rest!

Nothing happier than big dogs in the snow! All up and down the street everyone's out playing with their dogs.

Nothing to do but have some fun with it, too. We shovelled the drive, cleared the area around the fire hydrant.... and now it's snowman makin' time!

I'm so looking forward to hibernating today! Hoping Belvoir will be closed Friday - any guesses on that? Unfortunately, mine right now is for a 2-hour delay instead of closure on Friday. Harrumph.

Just came in from shoveling the driveway. It's melting quite a bt, but getting heavy as it does. It's been raining all morning here.

Measured 17" here in Middleburg. Half the driveway shovelled. It is certainly getting heavier as the day goes on.
