The roads are much better now than they were this morning but I keep hearing we're supposed to get another inch or so tonight/tomorrow morning. Times like this I look forward to spring coming.

Oops, you're absolutely right...I forgot about the delay that week. Sorry!

(Incidently, with a two hour delayed opening, bus drivers have to report one hour early (or the normal time if it's very cold)...so a delayed opening actually makes for a longer work day.)

At 11 am this morning, the paved running / bike path along Ox road in Lorton was already plowed. Amazing that gets priority over a second run in the neighborhoods. Not sure who plows it but it shows the wide variance within Fairfax county.

I'm not sure about this particular piece of property since I don't live there. FWIW, usually the owner of the adjacent property is usually responsible for sidewalks. Look at it this way--having plowed sidewalks helps drivers more than you realize. It's probably more of a safety issue than doing a second run on a street. If people are out walking, it's much safer to have them walking there than in the street.

It's snowing over here in Winchester. Not much but slowly and quite beautiful.

Anyone else getting any snow yet?

I feel like any weather event of even minor proportions has a 50/50 chance of closing Fairfax County schools. I think we'll be at the point before too long they close for thunder storms.
