Well so much for an early dismissal (3/25/14 - late afternoon) or a late arrival/UNScheduled Leave as OPM shows "Open - on time". The roads, for the most part, on my commute to train station, have been pretty dry. My subdivision roads, well, not the same. Still have patches of snow with a streak or two of that shimmering black ice.

Wonder why I can't get the face icons when I type reply to the conversation using my iphone? The whole right hand side is blank. Oh well.

What do you all think? Is it time to close this thread and take a deep breath? (don't mean literally closing this thread, it was a nice thread whole winter, a stress reliever etc.)

Current temperature is 26 F, I can't take this winter in spring any more.

If you recall, we had a late blast of winter last year. I think we had 1-2" of sleet/snow March 25, 2013. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...gton-d-c-area/)

But yeah, for only the second time in my life, I'm officially sick of the snow. First time saying that this far south too.

My steps were slippery this morning. I hope this is the last one. The only place I want to see ice for the next 8 months is in my scotch.

I wouldn't call it "brutal." Brutal was when I lived in Maine. I would say that NoVA can have sucky winters.

I vote we ask Tone to officially close it on April 1. Then on the off chance we were premature, we can always say "April Fool!"
