I took a very similar route. As a result of the accident Route 1 and Lorton Road was bad. I turned off Lorton to Silverbrook, Laurel Crest Road (shhh! Our secret), to Hooes Road. The bailout was horrible today. Very sorry to hear about that accident and those involved.

I took my an alternate route, and two hours later I'm finally home. 123 was the worst of the drive and took the longest to navigate.

I guess everyone decided to go that way eventually.

My husband had the double whammy. First he hit the BW Parkway shutdown and then got caught up in the I95 mess. He had a 3 hour drive home from Maryland.
