I never used anyone until last year when we bought a house, became landlords, had a baby...multiple large changes that I wasn't comfortable figuring out myself. We used Joan F. Clark. We used her again this year and have no reason not to continue.

Your tax situation is similar to mine, do you mind sharing how much she charges to prep your tax?

Might be too low brow for you, but I've used Paki at Liberty Taxes right on Elm Street. Used her for about 7 years now. I have rental properties, different deductions, etc. The cost is based on the number of docs they have to file. I believe it's about $250 (federal and state). Might be less.

Like almost everywhere, the cost varies depending on your specific situation, but for me, I believe it was about $225.

Thanks! I have never used anyone for my taxes but this year too many new things and different states etc make me believe I should do it this time! I appreciate the recommendations!

This is currently what I'm using, and with the cost difference between it and an accountant I will probably continue to use it.
