Hello, everyone. I am looking for some recommendations for great apartments to live in Arlington. I have been searching online at sites like rent.com and there seems to be a ton of choices, too many choices in fact So I thought I would turn to you guys for some help and advice.

My background: single mid to late 20s professional. My job kinda requires me to travel all over NOVA region so I could pretty much live anywhere and I thought Arlington would be a great place for young professionals.

Ideal apartment: high-rise newish building (built <10yr ago) with great views, close to shopping and restaurants (i.e. within walking distance). Parking would be important, ideally assigned parking. Also important to me are walk-in closets, hardwood floor, large windows with awesome view, open kitchen, etc. You get the idea

Budget: I would like to keep it between $2000 and 2200, but can go up to $2400 if it is worth the extra.

Things not important: pet policy, distance from metro/bus.

Thank you, guys. Look forward to your recommendations!

For a 1 bedroom 1 ba, your rental budget will be good for a modern hi-rise apt building with said amenities (i think hardwoord flooring too) in most of Arlington.

Check out Quincy Plaza, Archstone Ballston Square, Ballston Place, Meridian at Courthouse, Palatine etc.

Any of the luxury high rises along the orange line will meet your requirements. You may find similar, but slightly cheaper buildings in Pentagon or Crystal City. Most places will use carpet though as it is much easier to clean/replace between tenants.

If you don't care about metro access at all, the rental places at the Village at Shirlington would be very walkable and cheaper.
