I'm new in the area and I would like to find a nice hair salon (specially for cut and color). I've always had bad experiences. I appreciate any help..PLEASE!

I used to see a stylist named Karen King when she was at Windsor of Old Town and Jouvance. She is now at Sugar House. It is no longer convenient for me but I would highly recommend her and have only heard great things about the salon. She is a great colorist. I'm sure it is pricey though.

I always liked Bazzak in Old Town. I've had my hair cut mostly by Azita and Anette. There are others but I don't remember their names, but either way I've never been disappointed.

ColorWorks (Salon Cielo) in Pentagon Row (about 1100 Joyce St S, Arlington) is close if you are in Alex. City. They are mid-range/expensive but very skillful.

Jon David Salon in Springfield is good. I see Lauri but pretty much anyone does a nice job.

I would highly recommend Salon Prive - it is in Lorton Station. Omar used to work at Salon JonDavid in Springfield. I am VERY picky about my hair and have it colored, highlighted, lowlighted etc by him and have been very pleased him. It is priced mid range, but I have done all the $$$$ places, Vidal, etc and have not been as happy as I am with him.
