Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here's the situation.

My wife got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop (rolling stop) at a Stop sign back in 2009. That was the only ticket she'd ever received so she went to court and the judge dismissed it. All she had to pay was the court fee and that's it. No points or fine or anything.

Now fast forward to 2014 and we just discovered that if we search for her name, Google shows up one entry for her on CourtSentryDOTCOM in the Arrest or Warrant column. Of course, it does not provide any details; they want you to pay! Should a ticket for a rolling stop count as an arrest or a warrant? We can open up a help ticket on CourtSentry since they have the following policy, but wanted to know if you had suggestions on how to proceed.

Opt Out Policy: Note that public records such as court records can be updated or corrected, but not removed unless expunged, sealed, court ordered or the like.

Please advise.

Thanks,
K

I would call the court clerk and tell them what you saw... I doubt she actually has an arrest warrant but it's better to check for sure.

If she had to pay the court costs it sounds to me like she was found guilty but the judge waived all fees. Normally when something is dismissed you pay NO court fees in VA. Might need to do some checking on that.

Thanks. We will call the court and report back on what they say.
