Hey There. I just signed a lease for a townhouse just off Arlington Mills rd at 29th st. I know I can walk the mile and change tot he transit station at the village but I noticed a bus stop right by the entrance to the neighborhood. Anyone familiar what bus stops here and will it get me to the Pentagon?

Glad to hear you found a home that'll work for you!

As for Metro information specific to your commute, this will tell you all:

Looks like Metrobus 7c goes down Arlington Mill Rd. By the way, the sign at the bus stop usually has the route numbers on it.

I think it's the 7C, or maybe the 22A. They both go to the Pentagon. Then there's the 7A, 7E, and 7F in Shirlington (which I think you mentioned).

The PDF is horrible. It's easier to go to WMATA's Trip Planner or "Find Service Near" feature. Once you know the buses nearby you can look at their schedules.

Yeah go to the home page of the wmata website. Then put in your address and your work address. It'll give you the exact but and time to catch the bus. Also the bus route number should be on the bus stop.

Adresses don't work in the Trip planner. Are you talking about some other place on wmata.com? I used, "Arlington Mill Rd & 29th st" in the trip planner to find the bus number. It's still a good idea to just walk or drive to the closest stop and look at the sign to see the bus numbers. Then go to wmata.com, and/or Arlington's transit site, and look up the bus routes.

You can use addresses, but it can get a little quirky. You have to put it in exactly the format it wants, otherwise it won't be able to recognize or find the address.

I can never get it to work. Can you post an example of the format so I can try it?
