I am not sure what the problem is with some people and why they do things like this.

EDIT: You know thinking about it there is this whole flashlight subculture where people are trying to get the brightest, nicest, flashlights and this may be what is behind this. Kid may have purchased a $200 flashlight and may want to see how good it is.

That does not excuse this idiot, but at least I can understand this a little.

Still not cool.
It's funny, but the police officer I spoke to told me about the flashlight subculture. That was the first thing he mentioned. FWIW, he's thinking that if this guy is more likely one of those nerds than a pervert, if only because perverts and other creepers wouldn't be so blatant about it. They would be more likely to have some kind of telescope set up inside their apartments with some kind of night vision so you can't see them looking you. LOVELY!

At any rate, my building manager spoke to their building manager, who is going to speak to the tenant. The officer said it was better that I say something so that if it happens again they can send someone right over just to tell the guy to knock it off because he's disturbing the peace.

Never a dull moment!

^Thanks for the update!

I hope that fool stops shining his flashlight into other people's homes.

He's still a freak, and being into flashlights is no excuse. Guess what--plenty of people are into cameras. They don't take photos of others inside their homes. Though that would actually be less disruptive--so maybe this is more like some idiot playing electric guitar on his balcony.

I hope the police go talk to him.

No need to grouch at me. First, I had to catch the guy doing it. Second, it was after midnight and I had to get up early this morning and get some work done. And again, better to go over in person and just show them the photos, which, now that I think of it, they were probably going to ask me to come over and do today, anyway. At least I work at home and have time this afternoon to handle it in person.

Don't take it as grouching. Just confused why people take to Social Media before taking some kind of proactive measures right away. The police will not be mad that you called them and I would imagine would love to ID a creep like this. By waiting days they may wander if they should take it seriously if the RP is not by evidence of the delay.

EDIT. Didn't read ahead but I see you did call the police.
