Good to know! What are thoughts on Haymarket to Reston? Still terrible/over an hour?

I commuted from Warrenton to Herndon (near the Harris Teeter by Sunrise Valley Dr) and the commute absolutely sucked! I left by 5:30 every morning, and got to work right around 6:30. (A few minutes earlier depending on weather, lack of accidents, etc.) If I left any later, it was MUCH worse. The commute home was, at minimum, 1.5 hours. (I left between 3:30/4 pm.) 29 is very congested, and there isn't any other way out of Warrenton. (At least none that I found.) Once you get to Gainesville, you think you're in the clear, that is, until you enter on 66. I kept with it a little over a year, but had to move. Stafford to Reston … would make me want to kill myself!

Of course, everyone has their own commute tolerance … it may not bother you. The only way to know for sure … test the commute(s) on a couple random weekdays (both directions); when school is in session, and preferably when it's raining. This will be the best way for you to decide for yourself if you can tolerate the drive.

Good luck!

OP,

Would not recommend this commute. I'd consider Leesburg or even West Virginia before places like Haymarket for a more tolerable time on the road.
