That unicorn does not exist. You can't even find a TH in Fairfax country that is in a desirable neighborhood for under $700K

I disagree - but I guess it all comes down to your definition of a "desireable neighborhood".

That is a huge exaggeration. You can get a 4 BR TH in Kingstowne (highly desirable) for $500k.

There are many desirable neighborhoods that have homes in the OPs price range ($500 - 650K including Reston!). My point was that desirability is in the eye of the beholder.

I live in Annandale. My criteria must have a two-garage so my idea is different than most. I forgot all about the homes that don't have a garage at all. I stand corrected.

Fair enough. So few townhomes have two-car garages that I would be willing to believe you have to pay an outrageous price to get one.

You can get 2 car garage townhomes in Kingstowne for under $700K.....try $550k to $600K.
