- People who spend money on experiences instead of stuff
- People who talk about things that matter, and do the things they talk about
- People who travel, and enjoy novel places and food.
- People who respect their children and consistently try to be better parents.
- People who value their own education and their children's education, and put that before most other things
- People who value God, and who have actual morals, standards, and beliefs which don't just change based on trends, but can change with greater research. So, open-minded people with ideas about faith and God.
If you are one of these people, and you are a stay at home mother, especially one with a child from 2-4 years old, I am looking for you to be my new friend in Ashburn. Contact me to get started on friendly parenting adventures together!

I prefer non-sanctimonious friends, thank you.

Momma, I'm not sure if you realize that the tone of your ISO post is pretty off-putting right off the bat. You might want to adjust your approach.

"People who value God and have actual morals" Sure that line will bring them running. As an atheist I find that line offensive. You can not believe in God and have "actual morals."

Oh my.

Well I will give you the benefit of the doubt and some suggestions.
Try your church. I imagine since this is so important to you that you have one that you attend regularly. If they don't have a kids or playgroup, talk to the powers that be to start one.
There are many assorted groups in that area including babywearing, Attachment Parenting, breastfeeding, Moms Run This Town, Fit Moms, Hike It Baby.
Check with your neighborhood.
Participate in library programs
Check out Meetup.com for kids groups or moms groups including book clubs.

Most of all, try to not pigeonhole and judge people lest you receive the same treatment.

Did you really post a checklist of things a potential friend needs to tick-off in order to be your friend?

Some of my greatest friends are my complete polar opposites ... and I wouldn't trade them for the world! Sure, it's great to have some common interests with people, but it's also great to embrace differences and be pleasantly surprised by what you may get out of it. I'd be a bit more open-minded and I bet you'll attract more people that could potentially be your greatest of friends.

Good luck!
