What used to tickle me was when a Chinook flew over North or South parking, setting off hundreds of car alarms. Quite a cacophony, LOL.

WARNING-These are actually alien aircraft disguised as helicopters. The worst thing you can do is look at them. If you do, they will take over your mind and turn you into one of them!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL! If you hear one overhead look down.

OP, I know how you feel. This has happened to me as well and I never found out the reason. No news is good news, I guess. Stay safe.

They do it to keep their circling skills sharp; it's like parallel parking for them.

Some of the best helicopter watching used to be at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The medevac chopper pad was just feet from the front door. You could almost touch it. And it was a big one.

I haven't been there in years so it's probably not like that anymore, what with Inova's near constant construction.

I was surprised they put it so close to the busy sidewalk going into the hospital. You would think they'd have been afraid of stuff blowing into peoples' eyes.
