I'm driving up the east coast and want to stop for the night in either Fredricksburg or Woodbridge. I've never been to either. According to google maps, there are plenty of hotels, so that's not a problem.

Just wondering...if you had to choose, where would you stop? I'd like to go for a run in the morning, so ideally I want to stay in an area that's not too industrial and that has a nice neighborhood or two.

Thanks

Even though I've only been through that area 2-3 times, I definitely recommend Fredericksburg. Mind you, in order to get that community character in your jog, you'll need to stay at a place not quite so close to I-95.

Thanks to those who posted. I am now considering a different route that would take me through Waldorf, MD...just posted in the MD threads. But, if anyone wants to comment on Walforf...I'd welcome your input.
