As I am currently away, and will still be away in November, I requested for absentee ballot to be sent via email and I just received these via email. I received instructions and the B form, envelope template everything (2 attachments).

My question is: There is no identifier on any document or envelope. There is no bar code, no where to fill SSN, DOB, License number anything.. it just says where I need to print my name.. but how will they tag it to me.. if my name is Jon Doe, couldn't there by other Jon Does too, how will electoral commission (ffx county) link me from my home address to the ballot I mail to them - when it has only my name to identify.

Or am I missing something.. should there be a bar code or something?

Can others who have requested absentee ballots, please confirm if you have anything on your ballot where YOU can be identified?

Thanks!!

When you go in and vote, there is nothing to track your specific vote to yourself. They only track that you arrived in person to vote. So, by asking for an absentee ballot, they have already marked your name. Whether you actually send the ballot in is irrelevant. What you can't do, now, is show up in person to vote.

I think the OP is asking if he fills the form with wrong name, is his absentee vote counted? What if the OP puts in his neighbor's name? His neighbor will be denied to vote in person in Nov.?

I think spencgr's post was clear. His or her name is marked as voted regardless of whose name he puts on it.

This is well stated. The name has been "crossed off" so to speak. Your ballot should not have identifying characteristics.
