I am relocating to the area, working in on the Herndon/Reston boarder. When in town over the weekend, I had a chance to visit both Belmont and River Creek communities. Can anyone give some insider information to life in either neighborhood, particularly as it relates to children under six?

River Creek
Hi, We were in the same situation a little less than a year ago. We decided that River Creek was the best for us. We have one small child who is not school age yet but there are tons of children on the block and we have made some great friends. It is much smaller than Belmont and has a real sense of community. We ultimately chose River Creek because the way the house laid out appeared to be less on top of your neighbors. I felt that some of the houses we were looking at you could see your neighbor's kitchen from your own. I like a little privacy. River Creek was the best decision for us. Hope this helps a little.
