After living in nova for almost 2 years, I must be the only person who finds it a challenge to get a job. Even a job as a server or barista is impossible. This city seems to enjoy hiring "managers" who have no training, no care in the world, and no experience. I understand this area is full of rude, unfriendly people, who enjoy making others feel like crap. I wonder if you all enjoy causing people pain. Why are you all so mean here? Karma is a *****, just keep that in mind.

If you look for rudeness, Thats usually the only thing you will find. And that is usually at lower paying positions. Aim higher and join the rest of us.

I just can't imagine why no one is hiring you considering your sunny disposition.

Let me know what your job skills are, and what type of jobs you're applying for, and I'll offer an opinion of why you can't find a job

I've had a ton of job offers while working one job. It's not the area, it's you.

For starters, NOVA is not a city. But more to the point, I walked into a Ruby Tuesday in NOVA years ago and was hired on the spot. A professional appearance, smile, and friendly tone can go a long way.

If this is what you are competing against just remove all of your training and experience from your resume, show up for the interview late and act like you do not care about anything and you will be a manager in no time right?

Where did you move from?
