I travel out of state at least once a year so do you guys think is worth it for me to get it? Can I lend it to my family if they were to go out of state? I also heard that I don't necessary have to buy it from VA but instead New Hampshire where there are no annual fees. Please share some feedback. Thanks.

I don't think there are any fees in Virginia anymore. You have to get one here to get the EZ Pass Flex if you ever want to to use the HOT lanes in HOV.

Exactly. So, it's essentially free, and saves you time. How is that not "worth it", even if you take one trip a year?

If you have one for a long time and don't use it they will eventually send you a notice to use it or turn it in. I got one when I moved out to the Valley. But they very convenient when you do need one.

get it if there's no annual fee.
and get one that gives you the most discount.
ie: I goto nyc about 4 times a year. I got the ny ezpass because it saves me $5.50 off the Verrazano bridge toll.
that's more than I would save if I got the Md ezpass.

note: I live in VA

not deleware ezpass.
back when a lot of states were charging a $1 annual fee, de wasn't.
so I got their pass.
then ny dropped their fee and it was a no brainer to get their ezpass.

I put my de ezpass somewhere in my garage. it had a balance but I don't remember how much.
4 years later, I still haven't gotten anything from de ezpass.

It's been over two years ago this happened so it may not happen any longer in VA but I'm not sure.

since they announced I-66 inside the beltway will be converted to EZpass lanes starting December, I'll need it everyday now

Yes, it's worth it. As previously stated it doesn't cost anything and the first time you zip through a toll plaza instead of waiting in a long line you'll know it was worth it

Worth it. My commute doesn't need it but it is a time saver at toll plazas in OH, PA, WV, MD, KY, and NY/NJ.
