I agree Bluemont has fantastic views, but their wine is horrendous.

Went to Stone Tower today. As mentioned earlier in this thread, it was pickup weekend for their wine club so it was crowded (but not an issue at all)

My better half absolutely loved everything and is already planning a trip back with her gf's in a couple weeks

Yep. If you just want the view and like beer, go to Dirt Farm Brewery just down the road. Same ridge. I believe they have a pizza oven too, so you can have pizza and beer with an awesome view.

We ended up going to Chrysalis - nice place, not too crowded, and good wine!

I gotta say that most in Central MD are missing out on the winery scene around Loudon...for 1.5 hours each way (without traffic), less than the time to get to Ocean City or Delaware for a day trip, you can't beat the views and vibe. Just wish we went more in-season when the sun stayed out longer. From looking at reviews on various sites, the negatives seem to be regarding taste of wines (fair enough, but most have one or two types that would please a picky drinker), or customer service (again, fair but buying some bottles and enjoying the scenery doesn't take much interaction, though a tasting would).
