We left Purcellville about six months ago and I don’t think we’ve ever been happier.

I guess my perspective is a little different than the majority. I love Loudoun and would hate to leave it. But, to understand my viewpoint is to know my background and where we came from 6 years ago. We're from NC, but the recession flushed us out to the Chicago suburbs. We lasted almost 4 years in ChiTcago when Washington, DC finally happened. When I brought my wife to DC to house hunt, we wanted something as close to what we had in NC again. Loudoun was it, but even better. Have been happy ever since. Took us two attempts though. First was ok (Brambleton), but second has been excellent (Leesburg). I work in Tysons, and really don't mind the commute. True, I pay a premium for it, but that's one of the things I knew about before coming here in general and made those costs a part of my negotiations to come.

Totally get that it's not for everyone. And different pockets for different folks. Different strokes for different folks. For us, we have just enough "activity/buzz" to be entertaining, and just enough "quiet, space, elbow room" to not feel trapped or cramped in. In Chicago, we had nothing but buzz. Hated that place.

NC211 — I’m very happy you’re happy there. The area definitely has it’s advantages but we are loving the slower pace of SC.
